언론자유에 역행하는 언론 검열은 중국공산당과 같은 집단들만 하는 것으로 생각하기 쉬우나, 한국은 물론 미국에서까지 일상적으로 일어나고 있다. 미국의 주류언론들의 좌편향이 극심하여 극단적 반트럼프 성향을 보이고 있다는 것은 잘 알려진 것이지만, SNS 도 마찬가지이다. Twitter나 Youtube도 마찬가지 성향이며, Google의 검색 또한 좌편향, 반트럼프적이다.
