홍콩 출신 바이러스 학자로 2020년 4월 미국으로 망명하여 우한 바이러스가 자연에서 온 것이 아니라 실험실에서 인공적으로 만들어졌다는 폭로를 했고, 근래 이를 논증하는 논문도 발표했다.

SARS-CoV-2가 자연에서 온 것이 아니라 우한연구소 실험실에서 만들어졌다는 것을 논증하는 논문을 2020년 9월 14일 발표했다. 주요 언론들은 아직 이에 대한 보도를 하지 않고 있고, 학계의 검증을 요하는 듯하다. 사실로 확인이 되기까지는 좀 더 시간이 필요한 것같다.
특히 미국의 주류 언론들은 친중성향이 강하고, 학계에도 친중인사들이 많아 공정하고 객관적인 검증이 빨리 이루어지지 않을 수도 있다.
